I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Eric's untimely passing. Eric worked for me at the Rabbit Lake Mine Site. Eric's expertise made him the go to guy in the shop, not only for me but for his fellow workers as well. His pleasant nature and always ready smile brought a togetherness in our crew. He will be missed by all who knew him. I pass on my deepest condolences to Eric's family, God Bless you all!

Corinne and family. Like his dad, Eric was a good man. His time on earth was much too short but while here he made a difference in the lives of many. His legacy and love will live on in his children and grandchildren. We are so very sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathy to Corinne and family. I worked with Eric for 15 years at Cameco Rabbit Lake Mine. He was kind hard working man . He always expected the call from me to fix the nurses truck again. Or give him hell for not wearing his hearing protection. Eric was so happy when Covid restrictions were lifted on site, so he can resume his beloved crib game. Now this was serious in a fun way. No one call him out to fix anything on coffee time.
Eric talked fondly of his boys he was very proud of them . But having a grandson brought him great joy , a sparkle in his eyes and bragging rights.
All his co-workers at Cameco Rabbit Lake Mine will deeply miss him. He definitely left a big impression on all of us and a huge void in our heart. I firmly believe he is looking down at us , as he plays crib at the head table with a new deck of cards.
He was a good friend and co-worker he will be missed , my condolences to all.

I was there the night Corinne and Eric met, some 36+ years ago. They had a quick courtship, and Fell in Love quickly, then were on their way to building a wonderful life and family together. As a High School friend of Corinne’s, I was overjoyed for her to have met such a wonderful guy! Eric was a man who loved to work the land, and be in nature… his personality captured that…. He was “Salt of the Earth” ! An honest, caring, down-to-earth, and loving man. He has left behind a Legacy of himself… in his children and grandchild. He has left his imprint in Corinne’s and his family’s hearts, and it will stay there forever… til you all meet again. Blessings to the Family and Friends of this great man.

I have known Eric for many years as both our families grew up in the same area. When I was younger I can remember numerous times watching the guys either practice or play games for the Jets hockey team. Plus growing up both our families had children that were always close in age, so we all knew each other and did many activities together in Laird. Later on in life we had children of our own and they were close in age so we seen them at events, or sports activities or Laird Days. Then in the last few years I'd see Eric occasionally before he'd leave for work as him and Kenton both worked up north. We both had some good visits over the years with him. Lots of great memories.
He was a great person, hard worker, loved his family, and touched many that knew him. He is gone but never forgotten.
Sending you All strength, healing, prayers, love, guidance, and hugs during this difficult time. From my family to All of yours.

Corinne has an amazing tradition of holding a back to school soup extravaganza for the Waldheim School staff and this year Eric happened to be at home on Soup Day. As it turned out, I was the only male staff member that was able to attend and Eric could have grabbed his soup and retreated back into the safety of the house, but he took pity on me; he joined us on their beautiful deck and we caught up on family, farm, and work stuff. We didn’t connect often, but I’ve always had a lot of respect for Eric based on teaching and coaching each of the boys; it takes a good man (and Corinne) to raise Matthew, Brett, and Justin into the men they’ve become. You guys have been blessed to be loved by a guy like Eric.
