Otto was a true friend and a gentleman - I got to know him well over the years and we shared a lot of coffees and swapped a lot of cards and other sports memorabilia- he probably forgot more about baseball history over the years than most of us will ever know - I had the privilege of going on a road trip to the US several years ago with him and his son Karl - watched the Royals in KC and the Brewers in Milwaukee- but the best game we saw was a single A game in Clinton, Iowa where the Lansing Lugnuts were playing- the Blue Jays single A team- we sat behind their dugout- put our drinks and food on top of the dugout, maybe 150 people at that game in total and watched Vladimir Guerrero and Bo Bichette play ball. It was truly a memorable and enjoyable experience and I will never forget that game and sharing that experience with Otto and Karl. I am a better person for having known him and will miss him. My deepest condolences to Sharon, Karl. Andy, Adam and their families.

I was saddened to see Otto passed away…Sending my heartfelt Sympathy Sharon n Family….I always enjoyed our visits at the pharmacy and the few times after he retired..May He R.I.P.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear that Otto had passed away. Sharon & family, please accept our sincerest condolences. I was especially glad to have been able to reconnect with Otto over the past 2-3 years via social media. I had hoped to visit him this coming summer to discuss the feasibility of a 60 year graduation reunion for the summer of 2023. I have had many fond thoughts of him these past few days especially our 4 years in High School together and being roommates in 1965-66 while attending U of S. Again I am so sorry for your loss.

I always appreciated Otto's common sense advice and humor when we worked side by side at the Duck Lake medical office. So sorry to hear of his passing Sharon and family.
