Obituary of Marie Friesen

June 9, 1935 - November 2, 2021

86 Years

With great sadness we announce the passing of Marie Friesen, on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at the age of 86, at the Mennonite Nursing Home, Rosthern, SK.

She will be missed by her children, Marilyn (Ron) Dyck, Darcy (Bonnie) Friesen; grandchildren, Andrew (Jennifer) Dyck, Jordan Dyck, Dylan Friesen (Charlotte Wuttunee), Alexandria (Chris) Neudorf; and great grandchildren, Grayson, Moxie and Emmeline.

Marie is predeceased by her husband, David Friesen; parents, Lazar and Alexandria Sawchuck; brother, Pete Kitay; and sister, Ruby Woytuck.

Marie enjoyed knitting, cross-stitch and sewing, word puzzles and game shows. She loved gardening, entertaining and having coffee with friends. She was known to have a quick whit and her humour will be missed.  She has been ready to “Go Home” for many years and will be rejoicing that she is finally with the Lord she loved so much.

A private service, for family only, will be held on November 6^th, 2021.
