Obituary of Russell Regier

April 2, 1954 – October 9, 2018 Russ Regier, age 64 years of Saskatoon, passed away at home with family by his side on October 9, 2018. Russ generously shared his musical and athletic gifts during his career as an elementary school teacher and through many volunteer roles in the church and community. He especially loved leading ukulele groups, directing choirs, and coaching sports team, and found purpose in giving others the opportunity to experience the joy of music and sport. He enjoyed spending his personal time outdoors grafting apple trees, gardening, camping with family, and hosting backyard gatherings. Russ is survived by his loving wife, Val Regier; son, Jared (Rachel) Regier and their daughter Jane; daughter, Laura (Matt) Pauls and their daughter Michaela; siblings, Laurie (Glenna) Regier; Audrey (Steve) Neufeld; brother-in-law Doug (Diane) McKinnell; parents-in-law Elmer and Elvina Krause; and sister-in-law Gwen (Wes) Ens. He was predeceased by his parents, John W. and Mary Regier; and his sister Judy McKinnell. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.at Mount Royal Mennonite Church, Saskatoon.
