Elaine must have been just out of high school when she came to Wetaskiwin, AB to be a nanny for the children of the minister (Rev. Greatrex, I think) and his wife. We met at a young people's group and quickly became friends. She was with me when, a day or too after earning my driver's license, I banged up my parents new car-- not seriously, just annoying to my parent, mostly because we were up to mischief. We were caught going the wrong way. I was supposed to be coming home directly but we had headed off for a coke at a local restaurant and I had to drive her back to the manse. We also had fun at various parties. I will add photos when I find them, because her beautiful spirit is on display. She was a fine woman with zest and a positive outlook on life. I lost contact with her but I didn't forget her and over the several years occasionally looked for her online, but alas, finally found only her obituary. Very sorry for your loss.
