Lance and Maxine attended Sunday lunch at my parent’s house while they lived in Chilliwack. I have never seen anyone with as healthy an appetite as Lance. I remember when Lance and Maxine were renovating their home in Chilliwack and during the bathroom reno Lance hooked the hot water line to the toilet and for a short time they had a comfortable seat during their “quiet” time.
We are very sorry for the loss of Lance and pray for peace for his family.
I’ll fondly remember the time I spent with Lance in Chilliwack as we raised our kids just down the road from each other. Maxine looked after our kids as my wife went back to work and Lance and I served as young elders at church and collaborated in the worship ministry and care groups. I’ll miss my good friend.
I’ll always remember trying to scare a possum from under their house with my kids BB gun. We also had a fun day salvaging a free utility trailer by turning it upside down on top of my rickety trailer to haul it home.
Two examples of antics with my adopted brother. I’ll miss you.
