Obituary of Glenda Gaudet
Please share a memory of Glenda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
April 26, 1961 - October 13, 2023
62 years
On October 13, 2023, we said goodbye to a loving wife, mother, and grandmother after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Glenda was born on April 26, 1961, to Curt and Helena Klaassen in Rosthern SK. She grew up in Laird SK., getting into trouble with her best friend and cousin, Viola Busler. Even though she was raised on the farm, she always considered herself a city girl and in 1979 moved to Saskatoon. In August 1983, she married the love of her life, Auguste Gaudet. They welcomed two daughters into the world, Lacey in 1986 and Amber in 1989. In March 2023, she retired from Federated Co-op after 33 years. Glenda’s greatest love was travelling to watch her grandchildren’s sports and activities. She found peace working in her garden and summers were spent at Wakaw Lake, golfing and enjoying the outdoors. In the winter, she enjoyed travelling to warm destinations to soak up some sun.
Glenda is survived by her: husband of 40 years, Auguste Gaudet; daughters, Lacey (Chase) Tannahill, Sianna, Caleb and Owen; Amber (Scott Haire) and Sheri; siblings Norman (Dela) Klaassen, Arnold (Bertha) Klaassen, Eleanor Boehr; in-laws, Marilyn Fleming, Julie (Wally) Fandrich, Della (Ron) Minielly, Don (Karen) Gaudet, Robert Gaudet, Rupert Gaudet, Andre (Agnes) Gaudet, Janice (Don) Wallace, Blanche Lussier; and 40 nieces and nephews and 22 great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her: parents, Curt and Helena Klaassen; father and mother-in-law, Ovide & Laurianne Gaudet and Terry Tournier-Gaudet; infant brother, Gerald Klaassen; brothers-in-law, Gilbert Gaudet, Neil Craigie and Charles Boehr.
