John was a great man! Respected and deeply appreciated. My best memories are Rook game. Nothing went by him. John always demonstrated kindness, understanding and had a practical view on life. His presence will be greatly missed. Forever with the Lord.

My family and I only got to know John a little in the last month of his life in Rosthern Hospital, he was Dad’s (Lloyd Forrest) roommate. I miss our conversations when Dad wasn’t very talkative, John took over.
I will always think of John when eating deep-fried shrimp! He sure loved shrimp and was so appreciative when we brought him some. He asked for my address, said he wanted to send a thank you card! Such a thoughtful gesture.
John was a VERY nice, interesting man and we are happy to have met him.

Dear Uncle John,
So happy for you now in your eternal home. Thankyou for leaving me with a mental picture of my Dad........
It was sad to hear you were gone; my last physical resemblance of my earthly Father.
So good to see your legacy living on in your family.

Uncle John was the best! As a kid, I loved going to his farm to see him and Aunt Tina. Even as he got older, he never lost his unique sense of humour or his infectious laugh. I was so blessed to see him in Rosthern last summer before I returned to work overseas. Rest in Peace, Uncle Johnny......you will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

My Condolences to Johns Family, he was a beautiful soul ❤️ The kindest man I think I knew, even though I didn’t know him well. We would meet usually at the lab or in the hospital the odd time. I just noticed that he was the same age as my Dad.
Darryl and Pat, you did so much for him, I know how much he appreciated it. You will both feel a hole in your routines for a while.
My sympathies to you all!
