Obituary of Leon Gardypie

The death of Leon Joseph Gardypie, age 43 years, occurred on September 10, 2022. He is survived by his: father, Louis Gardypie; mother, Delphine Marie Gardypie; siblings, Louis Jr. Gamble, Loanne Gamble (Dannie Dustyhorn), Leslie Gardypie (Bradley Jim), Lonny Gardypie, Leanne Gardypie (Matthew Thomas), Laura Lee Gardypie, Led Gardypie (Alicia Gardypie), Lawrence Gardypie (Liberty Bear), Linus Gardypie, Julian Gamble (Elaine Gamble), Jordan Gamble, Mary Gamble, Trinity Scott; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his: maternal grandparents, Hector Gamble and Victoria (Baldhead) Gamble; paternal Grandparents:  Ronald Gardypie and Laura Gardypie; one brother, Luke Gardypie; cousins:  Joseph Waditka, Valerie Baptiste, Brandy Eyahpaise, Algin Gamble, Ian Gamble, Kimberly Gamble, Walter (Cowboy) Gamble, Laura Bear, Ray Jr., Ross Jr. and Calvin Jr.

Wake Services will be held September 15-17, 2022. Traditional Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. All services will be held at Beardy’s Memorial Arena, Beardy’s and Okemasis Cree Nation, SK. Interment will take place at Beardy’s Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK.
