June 26, 1955 - August 15, 2022
67 Years
It is with deep sadness that the children of Wilfred Raymond Christian Lenz share the news of the passing of their beloved father on August 15, 2022.
Wilf was born on June 26, 1955, to Percy and Emma Lenz in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He grew up on a farm in Leask and eventually moved with his family to Saskatoon. In 1986 he graduated as a Chartered Accountant. He was self-employed in Prince Albert for the past 30 years. Within the last several years he began winding down and entering early retirement, cutting down his hours from his usual 60 - 70 hours a week to a mere 35 or so. In Wilf’s free time, he embraced and enjoyed a very simple life. He found the true secret of happiness in being content with what he had. He was quite proud of the quiet days he enjoyed which consisted of naps, watching baseball, and watching the birds from his recliner.
He leaves behind his 3 children, Cy (Angela) Lenz, Mathew (Maricris) Lenz, and Elyse (Russel) Postnikoff; his 5 grandchildren, Zane, Axel, Alyssa, Thora, and Blair; and siblings Gilbert (Annette) Lenz, Marion (Lyle) Dhuez, and Irene Nesdoly.
He was predeceased by his parents Percy and Emma, sister Shirley (Wes) Laroque, brother Perry Lenz, and brother-in-law Gordon Nesdoly.
In the most recent years, his church provided him with significant insight and self-fulfillment. In lieu of flowers or cards, feel free to send donations to St. David’s Church, Prince Albert, SK.
Dad, you make our hearts soar like a hawk.
