Obituary of Garry Deguire

Garry Deguire died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the age of 81. He is survived by his sisters Debra Schell (Dale), Fern Assinewe (Bryan), and his brothers Del Deguire (Lynn) and Dale Deguire (Lois), as well as by many nieces, nephews and cousins, and his long-term partner Mary Mullaly. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Florence Deguire, siblings Valerie Deguire, Darwin Deguire (Phyllis), Madge Anderson (Gordon) and Lucille Parenteau (Joe), and many aunts and uncles.

He was very well liked for his gentle and kind nature, caring concern for others, his great sense of humour and generosity. He loved being out in nature, fishing and touring, camping in the great outdoors and simply enjoying the scenery and company of family and friends. He was an avid Canucks fan and loved horseracing and cards. He worked as a labourer for many years, concluding his career in security until his retirement.

His family will say goodbye in a private service.
