The family of Ida announce the peaceful passing of their dear mother at the Mennonite Nursing Home in Rosthern, SK.
Ida was born in Ordale SK to Oscar and Adelaide Olson.
She lived most of her younger life in rural Saskatchewan before making Saskatoon her home. During her last 5 years, she required assistance and moved into the Mennonite Nursing Home in Rosthern.
Ida is remembered for her feisty energetic personality and her artistry with liquid embroidery. She free-hand painted designs of birds, baby faces and flowers on many baby blankets, note cards and envelopes.
She was predeceased by her husband Peter G. Redekopp in 1981 after 46 years of marriage. They were blessed with 6 children, Alice (Arley Nickel deceased), Gerard (Karen), Dale (Lynn), Anne (Don MacPherson deceased), Ken (Amilda), Arlene (Rob Burnett), and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
At her request, no funeral will be held. In her memory, a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
