Obituary of Dolores Friesen

May 19, 1941 - June 24, 2022

Age 81 Years

Dolores (Adrian) Friesen, 81, passed peacefully into the presence of God on June 24, 2022.

Dolores was born to Abram and Dora Adrian on May 19, 1941 in Rosthern, Saskatchewan. She grew up on a farm west of Rosthern surrounded by many cousins. Dolores attended Eigenheim School and later Rosthern Junior College. She was baptized on May 25, 1958, at Eigenheim Church by Rev. G.G. Epp.

On October 28, 1960, Dolores married Peter W. Friesen and they lived on the Friesen family farm. She was soon looking after four young children while helping with the farm work.

As the children grew, Dolores spent many years selling Tupperware and established numerous friendships that continued long after the Tupperware parties were over. She then worked in Rosthern at Sears, where she made many new friends.

In her ‘retirement’ she spent her time sewing blankets for those in need and making quilts for family and friends. Dolores was committed to her Christian faith, loyal in church attendance and found great joy in fellowship with others.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Peter W. Friesen; children, Joylyn (Michael) Peak, Jerry (Treesa) Friesen, Brian (Wilma Ratzlaff) Friesen, and Brenda Friesen; grandchildren, Ethan (Brittany) Peak, Janelle (Clint) Foster, Aisha Friesen, Aiden Friesen, Erik Hayes, Natasha Hayes, Lauren Hayes; great grandchildren, Kennedy, Irelynd, Everly, Weston Peak; Edwinn and Haisley Foster; and brother Wesley (Mildred) Adrian. Dolores was predeceased by her parents Abram and Dora Adrian.

Dolores will be remembered for her friendly, caring, and fun-loving personality.
