Obituary of Pauline Salahub

93 Years

The passing of Pauline Salahub, age 93 years, formerly of Rosthern, occurred May 16, 2022, at the Rosthern Hospital. Pauline was born on March 25, 1929, to the late Joseph and Justina (nee Hnatiw) Humenuik and was raised and educated in the Adamiwka district.  She attended Adamiwka School. Pauline was an active member of the Holy Spirit Catholic (farm) church, she also attended Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Rosthern.

Over the years Pauline volunteered, along with other church members, their services in keeping the church, hall, and cemetery grounds maintained. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and visiting with friends and family. Pauline was an active hairdresser throughout her years.

She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Justina (nee Hnatiw); infant brother Billy; brothers Mike (Rose) Humenuik, Dmytro Humenuik, William (Bill) Humenuik and Nick Humenuik; sisters Mary (Peter H.) Huchkowsky and Annette (Mike) Murphy.

Pauline will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by numerous nieces and nephews: Dennis (Wendy) Humenuik, Marvin (June) Humenuik, Sylvia Humenuik, Walter (Tanya) Humenuik, Ann (Ernie) Cherewyk, Pat (Dale) Wagner, Dan Huchkowsky, Garry (Carol) Murphy.

The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Rosthern Home Care, Meals on Wheel Staff and Staff at the Rosthern Hospital.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:30 A.M. on May 20, 2022, at Ss. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Rosthern, SK. Interment will take place in Holy Spirit Cemetery, Adamiwka (RM of Rosthern), SK.
