Obituary of Amelia Chipurda

September 4, 1925 - October 3, 2021 96 Years It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Amelia Chipurda, 96 years old, at the Mennonite Nursing Home, Rosthern, SK on October 3, 2021. Amelia is survived by her daughter, Sherry Chipurda; grandson, Devaughn Chipurda; great granddaughter, Madison Chipurda; sister, Theresa (Jules) Klepak; nieces & nephews, Sheila (Richard) Ronaghan, Bryce (Kim) Wasylenko, Shauna (Joel) May; great nieces & nephews, Amanda Spencer and children Gage and Brynlee Watkins, Darryl Spencer, Palmer Wasylenko, Easton May, Isabel May; and special godchild, Dorothy Ward. She is predeceased by her husband Alex Chipurda; parents Alex and Mary (Zaleschuk) Wasylenko; siblings Elsie (Maurice) Holuk, Andrew (Edna) Wasylenko, Taras Wasylenko; and nephew Bruce Wasylenko. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. and Funeral Liturgy on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 501 – 4th Ave, Rosthern, SK with celebrant Rev. Father Mykola Romanets. Interment will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Box 688, Rosthern, SK S0K 3R0). Arrangements are entrusted to Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK.
