Obituary of Janet Gamble

September 30, 1954 – August 12, 2014 The death of Janet Nancy Gamble, age 59 years of Beardy’s & Okemasis First Nation, SK occurred on August 12, 2014 at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, SK. She is survived by her family: loving husband, Dennis Anthony Gamble; children, Dawn (Ken) Laprise, Christopher (Destini) Robinson, Erma Lynn (Merlin) Gamble, Marcia Seeseequasis; adopted children, Deanna Ledoux, Sol (Laura) Naytowhow; grandchildren, Danae and Kaylen Laprise, Winter Rose, Chichi, & Huzzy Rain; and numerous adopted grandchildren and great great children; sisters, Gloria (Burton) Ahenakew, Helen (Alphonse) Moosoomin; brothers, Terry Daniels, Edward (Patricia) Daniels; adopted sisters, Arlene (Ron Baxter) Harper, Lorna (Eugene) Arcand; adopted brothers, Eric Tootoosis, William Stone, Ralph Gardipy; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Those relatives especially close to her include: The Gamble Family, Rose (Stan) Eyahpaise, Cecil Daniels, Florence Daniels, Corrine Eyahpaise, Melinda Daniels, Malcolm Daniels, Richard Daniels, Clayton Daniels, Orville Daniels. Janet was predeceased by her: granddaughter, Dana Eva Laprise; predeceased by the father of Dawn and Chris Robinson – Keith Robinson; parents, Frank and Gladys Daniels; one infant sister, Della; brothers, Kenneth Daniels, Victor Daniels; grandparents, Bennett Charles, Edward and Emma (Swiftbear) Daniels, Susan Felix, and George and Mary Ermine; uncles, Bill Ermine Sr., Walter Ermine, Alex Ermine, Joe “Pohta” & Aunty Mary Jane Daniels, Wilfred Ermine; cousins, Nolan, Henry, Vern Daniels, Pauline Badger, Myrna Daniels; additional family members: John Oliver and Hannah Duquette; and special aunt, Stella “Gerlynn” Paintednose. Wake Services for Janet will start at 5p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 through to August 16, 2014. The Traditional Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. All services will take place at the Beardy’s Rec. Centre, Beardy’s & Okemasis First Nation, SK Interment will take place at Beardy’s Cemetery.
