Obituary of Lacey Sands
December 8, 1981 – April 13, 2015 It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Lacey Jayne, the devoted Mom of Paityn and Jakobie, on April 13, 2015. She also leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her Dad Harvey Reimer; her Mom Annie (Richard) Fischer; sister Geneva (Abe) Martens, their children Phoenix, Izzy, and Tayah; the father of her children, Jason Sands; and step-sister and brothers Cindy, Troy, Duane and their families; her grandmothers Helen Zacharias and Helen Reimer; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as her entire work family, and countless friends. Lacey was predeceased by her: grandfathers Peter Zacharias and Henry Reimer, and cousins Jesse Zacharias and Tyrone Reimer. Lacey had a great zest for life and family. First and foremost was always her love and dedication to Paityn and Jakobie. Despite her physical struggles, she was always the first to ask, “what can I do for you?”, “let me do that”, or “yes, I can do that”. She loved her family and friends and gave all of herself, always. Her smile and vibrant personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to express special thanks to all who provided support in so many ways during this difficult time and to the staff at RUH. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lacey’s name may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada, www.crohnsandcolitis.ca, Box 430 Sub P.O. #6, Saskatoon, SK. S7N 0W0 or a pledge at any Affinity Credit Union for the “Gutsy Walk for Crohn’s and Colitis” June 7, 2015 – Lacey Sands Reimer Donation, account #1279884. A Memorial Service to celebrate Lacey’s life will be held Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Mennonite Church, Neuanlage, SK. Interment will take place at Hague Cemetery.
