Obituary of Michelle Goetz

January 24, 1984 – October 28, 2018 It is with full hearts and deep sorrow that we say goodbye to Michelle after a courageous battle with cancer. Michelle found a way during that time to love, inspire and uplift all those who were lucky enough to know her. She will be forever cherished by her husband and best friend Michael, sons Boston and Lincoln, parents Brenda & Larry Summach, Anne Schaffer (Grandma), sisters Melissa Murray (Chris) & Mandy-Rae Block (Tarrell), mother & father-in-law Ruth and Barry Goetz, sisters-in-law Janelle Goetz, Krista Funk (Derek), and Heather Goetz. Nieces Isobel, McKenna, Olivia, nephews Kalyb, William, and Sam and extended family & friends. She was a woman who always put others ahead of herself, held strong to her faith, and loved her boys with all her heart. Words can’t explain the hole she has left, but we know it isn’t forever. Our family wishes to thank the amazing team at Oasis of Hope, and the wonderful nurses of Royal University Hospital who cared for Michelle in the end. In lieu of flowers, Michelle had requested donations be sent to women through Kiva.org or Teen Challenge SK (www.tcsk.ca). A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11:00am at Elim Church, 419 Slimmon Road, Saskatoon. Condolences may be left at funksfuneralhome.ca.
