Obituary of Garry Wallman

February 4, 1944 – December 2, 2019 It is with love we announce, Garry Wallman passed away suddenly at his favourite place, in his cabin, on December 2, 2019, at the age of 75. Garry was born on February 4, 1944, to parents, Lawrence Wallman and Sara (Waldner) Wallman. Garry grew up on a dairy farm West of Martensville and was the oldest of two children. He has a younger sister Beverly Penner who resides in Saskatoon. He married Pat (Harder) Wallman in 1965, and together they took over running the dairy farm. The farm was always a busy place full of family and friends coming to visit and would end up working and helping out for the summer. Garry and Pat had three children, Daran Wallman (Edie Stuber); Marcie Wyatt (Kent Harris); Shelly (Keith) Grauman; and four grandchildren Genevieve Wallman (Chris Frank); Brandon Wyatt; Jaren Wallman; and Ashley Wyatt (Trenton Moore). When Garry and Pat sold the family farm, they purchased a condominium in Saskatoon and had more time to spend at their cabin at Delaronde Lake. This was Garry’s favourite place where he enjoyed many days fishing, hunting and sharing time with family and friends. Garry was well known for his generosity, huge heart and was a man of his word. He was hardworking which turned into his passion for making his famous Wallman’s Wigglers fish hooks. Garry was well known at Delaronde Lake for his participation in the community and always lending a helping hand doing whatever he could to make life easier for others. Garry could often be found in his garage filleting fish for himself and others, and having delicious fish fries where everyone was always welcome. Garry wanted a small celebration of his life with his immediate family, which will take place in the summer at the lake. Garry was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be forever remembered and with us in our hearts. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK (306) 232-5245, http://www.funksfuneralhome.ca.
