I was heart broken to hear of the passing of my friend, Mitch. A flood of memories came to me and continue as I remember our friendship. We first met at the Abilities Council and became fast friends and later, room mates. I remember the good times and all the holidays we took together – Hawaii, the Maritimes, and visiting Randy in Omaha. I remember family events in Dalmeny and being made to feel like one of the family and being introduced to fruit soup and cold coffee. I’m sad that we lost touch in the last while. I’m also sad that we won’t be able to come to Mitch’s memorial as we are leaving for Europe today. My thoughts and heart will be with the family on that day.
