Obituary of John Matsalla

August 3, 1933 – September 30, 2014 The death of John Peter Matsalla, age 81 years of Rosthern occurred at Rosthern Hospital on September 30, 2014. He is survived by his children: Gene-Marie Ennis (Earl Shaw), Gwen (Kevin) Sproule, Audrey (George) Watson, Kelly (Patti) Matsalla, Kathleen (Nick) Ropson; 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; siblings and in-laws: Blanch Mazurkewich, Agnes Gottselig, William (Halina) Matsalla, Veronica Matsalla, Bill Chelack. He was predeceased by his wife Sheila Matsalla; siblings Ann Fuller, Jean Sikora, Edward Matsalla, and Josephine Chelack. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 8:00 P.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. Both Services will be held at St. Odilon Roman Catholic Church, Rosthern, SK. Burial of ashes will take place at Rosthern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rosthern Hospital Foundation, Box 88, Rosthern, SK S0K 3R0.
