Obituary of Bishop John P. Hamm

August 22, 1945 – December 10, 2018 The death of Bishop John P. Hamm, age 73, of Hague, SK, occurred on December 10, 2018, at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Ginther) Hamm; children: Susan (Fred) Loewen, Marie (Sheldon) Aschenbrenner, Edna (Henry) Quiring, Carl (Angela) Hamm, John (Brenda) Hamm, Joseph (Barbara) Hamm, Diana (Henry) Dyck; 33 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers and their spouses, nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Sara Hamm; granddaughter, Carmen Quiring; several siblings and in-laws. A come-and-go public viewing will take place on Sunday, December 16, 2018, from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Funk’s Funeral Chapel, 1010-7th St., Rosthern. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018, at 1:00 P.M. at Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, East of Hague, SK on Ferry Road. Interment will take place at Sommerfeld Cemetery.
