My condolences to you, Lyle, your dad, and the rest of the family. I worked with your mom at BMES in my first year of teaching. She took me under her wing and balanced my classroom attendance/register book in the first month or two and made sure I understood how to do it before handing it over! That was big help to me. She also challenged me professionally in ways I won’t get into. She talked of you often and loved you and her family deeply. I will remember her kindness, warmth, and good humour.
