Obituary of Dian Block

February 12, 1941 – June 21, 2012 The death of Dian Lois Block, age 71 years of Waldheim, SK occurred on June 21, 2012 at the Rosthern Mennonite Nursing Home. She is survived by her: son, Stuart (Karen) Block, and family, Ryan and Robyn; son, Greg Block and daughter Emma; daughter, Lori (Trenton) Janz and family, Keldy, Nick, Talia; siblings, Dorothy (Murray) Hamm; and Delmer (Verna) Strobel. She was predeceased by her: husband, Alfred Block in 2010; and mother Elsiebeth (Dirks) Strobel in 1951; father Walter Strobel in 1994; mother Clara (Kope) Strobel in 2002. Family and friends are invited to an evening viewing at 7:00 P.M. Monday, June 25, 2012 at Funk’s Funeral Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mennonite Brethren Church, Waldheim, SK with Pastor Greg Wiens officiating. Interment will take place at Waldheim Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Mennonite Nursing Home, Box 370 Rosthern, SK S0K 3R0. Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK.
