Obituary of Alexander Kreiter

May 26, 1923 – March 5, 2014 Alexander W. Kreiter passed away peacefully on March 5, 2014 at the Lakeview Pioneer Lodge in Wakaw, at the age of 90. Alex is survived by his: wife Joyce (Trippel); son, Rick; daughter Deb; grandson, Curtis Fehr, grandson, Clayton Fehr (Shauna) and great grandson Alex; great granddaughter, Avery, and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his: parents, William and Amelia Kreiter; and 8 siblings. Alex was born on the farm near Rosthern in 1923. He married the neighbor girl Joyce in 1952 and they bought their own farm, also near Rosthern that same year. They farmed until 1986 when they retired and moved into Rosthern. Alex enjoyed spending his retirement fishing, nearly every day. He loved to garage sale and spent many hours working in his shop. In 2007 they moved into Saskatoon. Alex spent the past year at the Lakeview Pioneer Lodge in Wakaw. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the staff at the Lodge in Wakaw, for the wonderful care given to Alex during his time there. A Memorial Service for the family will take place in the summer.
