Obituary of Eileen Epp

In loving memory of EILEEN EPP Age – 91 years May 12, 1928 – July 12, 2019 Eileen Stella Epp passed away at the Mennonite Nursing Home, Rosthern, on July 12, 2019 at the age of 91. She was born to parents Abram C and Elizabeth Friesen on May 19, 1928. She grew up in the village of Hague and married her high school sweetheart, Hardy Epp, in 1949. After a time in Saskatoon they returned to Hague in 1957 to raise their family in that community. Eileen was an accomplished pianist, frequently playing in church and school, and an avid reader. She is survived by her children Rick (Marg), Randall, Lois (Joel) Ewert, Tim (Julia), 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, grandson Noah Ewert, and husband Hardy Epp. Eileen and Hardy returned to Saskatoon in 1999 in their retirement. Following Hardy’s death in 2004 she moved to Bethany Manor where she enjoyed the social and spiritual environment of that community. The family would like to thank the staff of the Rosthern Mennonite Nursing Home for their kind and loving care of our mother. Eileen was an ardent supporter of the Mennonite Central Committee and wished that in lieu of flowers donations be made to that organization. The memorial service will be held at the Mennonite Nursing Home Auditorium, Rosthern on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 2:00 P.M.
