Obituary of Gordon Green
June 3, 1936 – September 18, 2020 Gordon was born June 3, 1936 and died September 18, 2020 reaching the age of 84 years. Gordon was raised on a farm in the Carrot River district of Saskatchewan. Schooling grades 1-8 at the country school, then high school in Carrot River, where he graduated, being the only male in a class of 6. After graduation, he worked at the Royal Bank before joining the RCAF. He retired as Sargent, after 25 years in finance. In those years, there were many transfers and one of them overseas. Many friends were made. He was active in curling, golfing, gardening, fishing and TGIFs. Then on civvies street (civilian), he worked for numerous companies: Dickenson Gold Mine, Key Lake Mining, & Cameco Corp. He did a short time as Commissionaire, before he quit the workforce. He married Etta-Marie Bell, who shared all of the working experiences and when he retired, they hitched up the truck to a 5th wheel and for 20 years, they spent the winter months in Arizona, before finally settling in Rosthern, SK. He was predeceased by his parents, Alex & Evelyn (Morgan) Green and infant twin brothers. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Etta-Marie; daughter Janice Green; grandsons Martín Poulin (Toronto) & Colin Poulin (Red Deer); brother Oliver (Velma) Green (Outlook); brothers-in-law, Dewey Bell (Weyburn), & Randy (Marcia) Bell (Regina Beach); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
