Obituary of Ernest Rock

May 27, 1935 – June 30, 2020 Ernest Joseph Rock was born on May 27, 1935 in Bellevue, SK and passed away June 30, 2020, in Rosthern. Ernie is survived by his son Tyler (Bev) Rock; grandsons Jeff (Lindsay) Rock, Greg (Malerie) Rock; great grandsons, Julian, Anthony, Dawson, Dallas, and Oliver; sister Lucille Sundberg; and special friend Arlene Wagner. He was predeceased by his wife Stella Rock; parents William and Victorine Rock; and sister Angel Pedwerbeski. Ernie grew up on the farm in Bellevue, Saskatchewan. He loved riding his white Arabian horse on the farm and started playing guitar at the age of eight. After selling the farm in Bellevue, the family moved to Prince Albert, where Ernie enjoyed playing music and baseball. He sang on the radio weekday mornings before school, and was a pitcher for the championship Baseball team Prince Albert Rockets. Ernie met Stella Krack, and was married in 1955. They lived in Prince Albert until 1989, when they moved to the Rock farm to settle in the yard, with his son Tyler, in Bellevue. Ernie worked in the plumbing and heating industry for 60+ years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working around the yard and his music. He started, named, directed and the Country North Show in the 70’s. Ernie loved music, witnessed for Jesus and was ever ready to help his family. Funeral services will be held at the Prince Albert Baptist Church, 60 – 12th Street, Prince Albert, SK on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
