Obituary of Bernard Bell

Bernard Bell October 8, 1929 – June 2, 2019 It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Bernard Allan Bell at the age of 89 years on June 2, 2019 at the villa in Porteous Lodge, Saskatoon. He was born & raised on the Carlton homestead on October 8, 1929. He was an avid hunter and he loved to play cribbage. He farmed the homestead from 1953-1995 when he retired and moved to Saskatoon. He then entered Northern Light Care Home in 2008; then transferred to A1 Care Home in 2012, and then moved to Porteous Lodge in 2016 where he lived out the remainder of his life. He is survived by his 19 nieces & nephews: Art (Lorraine) Neufeld, Marion (Harvey) Neudorf, Pat (Don) Reimer, Stan (Pat) Neufeld, Debbie (Ken) Thiessen, Betty (Larry) Fiolleau, Sandra Morrow, Rick (Peggy) Bell, Wade (Pat) Bell, Gerald (Louisa) Bell, Ken (Debra) Bell, Phil (Roxanne) Bell, Brenda (Wayne) Bell, Sharon Israelson, Larry (Gladys) Giesbrecht, Marilyn (Ross) House, Donna (George) Funk, Lyle (Janice) Giesbrecht, Arlene (Lyle) Friesen and sister-in-law Norma Frey-Bell. Bernard was predeceased by his brother Arthur (1937), his dad Albert (1946), sister Lillian Neufeld (1962), his mom Violet (1973), brother-in-law Edward Neufeld (1980), Cornelius Giesbrecht (1983), sister-in-law Agatha Bell (2003), brother Albert Bell (2009), sister Jean Giesbrecht (2011), brother Harold Bell (2011). The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Funk’s Funeral Chapel, Rosthern, SK with Rev. Debbie Ramage officiating. Interment will take place in St. Cyprian’s Anglican Cemetery, Wingard, SK. Arrangements are entrusted to Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK (306) 232-5245 (www.funksfuneralhome.ca).
