Obituary of Mike Kowbel

September 12, 1941 – January 18, 2017 With deep sadness, we are announcing the death of Mike Kowbel. He was born in Rosthern area and later married Janice, settling in Saskatoon. Mike worked very hard for his family; he was a contractor and built or renovated homes for his children. Mike dedicated his life to his grandkids; whether it was babysitting, trips, or hockey games, he enjoyed being together. He will be deeply missed. Mike is lovingly remembered by his wife, Janice; their children, Terri (Scott) Nesbitt and son Nathan; son-in-law, Kelly Lukash and son Evan; Trevor (Michelle) Kowbel and sons Kyle and Adam; brothers, Nick (Sandra) Kowbel, Werner (Jeannie) Kowbel, Paul (Ann) Kowbel, Ernest (Gloria) Kowbel; sisters, Gloria Terlecki, Elizabeth (Bill) Jamison, Elsie (Don) Redgwell; brother-in-law, Bill Cheney; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Cindy Lukash; parents, Peter and Polly Kowbel; sisters, Marie Cheney, Pauline (Geno) Barbieri, and brother-in-law, Bill Terlecki. No public funeral will be held.
