Obituary of David Sawatzky

October 16, 1934 – July 10, 2017 David Frank Sawatzky, age 82 years, of Waldheim, SK, went to be with his Lord on July 10, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife, Miriam; children, Sherry (Bob) Willems, Charlene (Chester) Wiebe, Michelle (Calvin) Fong; daughter-in-law Grace Sawatzky; 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; sister Ann Fehr, brother Isaac (Margaret) Sawatzky and brother-in-law Ben (Hilda) Harder. He was predeceased by his parents, Franz J. and Katherina Sawatzky, son Darrell, 5 brothers, and 1 sister. A viewing for family and friends will be held at 7:30 P.M., Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Funk’s Funeral Chapel, Rosthern, SK. A celebration of David’s life will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Waldheim Mennonite Brethren Church, Waldheim, SK.
