ABRAHAM JACOB SCHELLENBERG
“ABE” was born on the family farm North-East of Watrous, SK on December 12, 1935. Abe passed away in Manitou Lodge at the Watrous District Health Complex on January 18, 2024, at the age of 88 years.
Abe worked as a Journeyman Electrician and Mechanical Contractor for most of his life. This took him to a nickel mine in northern Manitoba, where he worked as an electrician. Abe owned and operated a couple of electrical contracting businesses in Saskatoon. Specializing in water treatment plants, and sewage handling facilities. He worked in many communities all over Saskatchewan, Abe really enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. In later years, Abe developed & operated Delwood Campground on the northeast end of Manitou Lake, just off of the sand-bar road. where he had a rainbow trout pond at his campground.
In keeping with Abe’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. Interment of Abe’s cremains will take place at a later date, near his immediate family members, at the Bethany Mennonite Cemetery, located very close to his farm and campground.
