July 4, 1957 - January 1, 2024

66 Years

Deborah Ann Sinclair (Kirilenko), 66 years old, died at home on January 1, 2024. She is survived by her two daughters, Tina (Richard), and Amanda, and her four grandchildren, Erika, Ricky, William, and Erik.

Deborah went on to become an Educational Assistant for 26+ years and loved her job immensely. Deb treasured all her students and coworkers and took great pride in her career. As a single mom, she worked three jobs at once for most of her life, pulling herself up by her own bootstraps. Some of the jobs she would reminisce fondly about include waitressing at the Saskatoon Inn and the Country Kitchen, Agrium, Prairieland Exhibition, driving a semi-truck through every major city in North America, and even shovelling sidewalks when she had to make ends meet.

When Deb bought her first and final home, she immediately fell in love with the beautiful community of Delisle, where she formed close connections and relationships with the church and community that held her faith so dear. She was proud of her cozy crooked little house because it was hers and she worked hard for it.

Debbie was passionate about cooking and made the best borscht in the land, and her gravy was a trademark that should have been bottled up and sold. Her house always smelled of great meals. We will miss her beets and pickles, as she loved canning and preserving and knew the art well from growing up on the farm. She was an avid gardener with a green thumb and could grow a garden just by looking at it.

Debbie was bold, clear, straight to the Ukrainian point, and spoke her mind. You always knew where you stood with her. Deborah was independent, resilient, loving, cheeky (in the best possible way), and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was passionate about music and had the most beautiful singing voice. She learned the guitar and music was always a part of her life.

She made sure everyone was taken care of, lending a hand with anything from words of encouragement to a home cooked meal, wanting everyone to have at least their basic needs met.

Deborah is the daughter of William Kirilenko and Mary (Mozoka) Kirilenko, and deeply loved her two big brothers, Gary, and Rick (Darlene) Kirilenko, not to mention her nieces and nephews whom she adored with all her heart.

Deborah Ann Sinclair (Kirilenko) will be greatly missed and forever loved by all her family, friends, and soul sisters. Sweet, wonderful Ukrainian lady in a cozy crooked house. Be free. Be at Peace.
