Hey Colin, Laurie and family. Our sincere condolences to you all. Delmar was an awesome sports fan and even better person. Always smiling and upbeat. Loved seeing him at our Valley Merchant games … although he was not quite as friendly to me when Waldheim and Duck Lake played hockey against each other. Ha!

Uncle Delmar worked at the UGG elevator in Carlton, Sask. purchasing grain. One day my siblings and I got a tour of the elevator which ended when Uncle put us kids in the caboose (last car) and we all got a short ride as the train had turn around. That was the very first time I had ever been on a train, let alone a moving train! I will always remember and cherish this adventure.
Our deepest condolences to the family. Delmar was such a kind and caring person. He always had a smile on his face and greeted me with warmth. When I had an exchange student from Quebec stay with us, he immediately suggested to bring her to the house and have his wife visit with her. My dad spoke very highly of Delmar when he was at the elevator in Hanley.
