I was married to Edna's son Lee. One thing I remember about Edna is her buying fruit for me. They didn't usually have fruit in the house but when she knew we were coming she always went out and bought me some. Seems like a silly thing to remember but 32 years later that's the first thing I think of when I think of her.

I mostly knew Edna as someone we enjoyed having at quilting retreats. She always had a story for us. She was always so cheerful no matter how much pain she was in. I actually met her through her sister Esther. Esther introduced me to her when I first started at the Clothes basket. So I asked her, why don't you volunteer with us. Her answer was (I talk too much they wouldn't want me there.)
I guess you really need to know her too appreciate her humor.
