Obituary of Lucie Pogu

Lucie (Lanovaz) Pogu of Duck Lake, passed away at home surrounded by her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children Muriel Raabe, Thousand Oaks, California; Diane Roden, Calgary; Cécile (Ivan) Buehler, Humboldt; Jean Pogu, Duck Lake; grandchildren Andrea (Eric) Blackburn, Melanie Lepold, Marc (Amanda) Roden, Jo-Anne (Kieran) Longworth, Ian (Katie) Buehler, David (Jenn) Buehler and Lise (Taylor) Ritz; great grandchildren Drew Calhoun, Jacob Lepold, Josie and Daniel Roden, Abigail and Jillian Longworth, April and Landon Ritz and Felix Buehler. She was predeceased by her husband Auguste Pogu; parents Ferdinand and Ernestine (Bouvard) Lanovaz; siblings Ernest (Marie - Dad’s sister) Lanovaz, Marie (Carl) Farwell, André (Thérèse) Lanovaz, Yvonne (Dwayne) Dahl and Alice and Firmin (in infancy); sisters-in-law Jeanne (Alex) Weber, Hélène (Paul) Bonthoux, Thérèse Maier, Yvonne (Robert) Vallée and Agathe (in infancy).
We are very thankful for the loving care Mom received from Shirley Blanchard, Kelly-Jo Weber and Bunni Ryhorski.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 (Mom’s 105th b.d.) at 2:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, NE of Duck Lake.
Memorial donations may be made to MR Vision of Hope Inc., 1405 Bishop Pascal Place, Prince Albert, S6V 5J1 for mom’s cousin Sr. Cécile Lanovaz’s mission work in The Gambia, Africa or the George C. Gauthier Foundation Inc., Goodwill Manor, Box 370, Duck Lake S0K 1JO.
