To Joanne's family and friends, I would like to send my sincere sympathy for your loss. Joanne took me as her intern teacher back in 1994. I knew Joanne when she had stayed at my grandmother's for school a few years earlier. I enjoyed the experience of being in Joanne's classroom and learned a lot about being a good loving teacher to students. I will always remember the fun we had teaching the students (and learning myself) how to do Ukranian Easter eggs. I kept my egg even though it wasn't half as good as the students work. Rest in peace old friend.
