January 22, 1971 – February 25, 2020
Kristine Helen Zerebeski (Thordarson) age 49 died on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 3:30 A.M. Kristine was born in Wadena, Saskatchewan on January 22, 1971 at 11:50 P.M. to Robert & Linda Thordarson. A very enthusiastic little girl enjoyed her country life of being raised on the farm at Mozart with a close family around her. Kristine grew up with a love for family, music, and the farm. Kristine is survived by her father Robert Thordarson (Carey); husband Robert Zerebeski; sons, Eric and Taran; brother James Thordarson; aunts, Mary La’Coste (Roland), Cora Leung (Kevin), Judy Brown (Bob); uncle Dennis Johnson (Debra); and too many cousins to mention. Kristine was predeceased by her mother Linda (Johnson) Thordarson; grandparents Edwin & Evelyn Thordarson, and Oscar & Freda Johnson; uncles Evans Thordarson, Edwin Thordason, and Jim Johnson who meant alot to Kristine. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Odilon Roman Catholic Church, Rosthern, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kristine’s name to the Sask Valley Hospital Foundation Inc., Box 93, Rosthern, SK. S0K 3R0. Arrangements are entrusted to Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK. (306) 232-5245 (www.funksfuneralhome.ca).
Kristine was a member of Job’s Daughters in Elfros and that was where I first got to know she and James. They became good family friends to my daughters. She was a sweet girl and always a model and leader to the younger girls in our fraternity. I know from her Dad that she handled the burden of cancer with love and grace and humor. My heart goes out to her husband and sons and to her father Robert, Carry and her brother James and of course to all the good friends I know she has made along her life’s path. Our hearts are with Robert and James and her family. Kristine was far too young but she is in a better place.

Kris will be so missed. She was always so happy. And could always find the positive in everything and one. If you wanted your stars read she was there. If you needed an ear she had it. If you just wanted a laugh she had one for you. But you always new where her heart was. Rob, the boys. Maybe not that order and hunting and family. And if you were a friend you were family. Love you all.
