Henry Wall (Dad) was born in the Hague area on April 9, 1929 to Jacob and Katherine (Guenter) Wall. He was married to Helen Hamm on May 21, 1950 at her parent’s farm near Hague. They were blessed with twelve children.
Dad was baptized upon confession of faith at the Reinfeld Church in 1950. We were so blessed to have a father that loved Jesus.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother Jake; and sisters, Tena, Anne (his twin), and Susan.
He is survived by Helen, his wife of 70 years; children, Tina (Abe), Jake (Gloria), Peter, Sara, Betty, Henry (Mary), Herman (Agatha), Dave (Heidi), Lena, Frank (Naomi), John, and Martha (Corney). He also leaves behind 36 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; brothers, John and Frank; and sisters, Mary (Dave) and Helen.
Dad was a farmer and to make ends meet he worked as a carpenter. For enjoyment he liked fishing and camping. He was also a very musical man. It was an extra special time for him and his family when his brothers, John and Frank came from Manitoba to sing and play their guitars with him and his family.
When they left the farm, near Rosthern, they moved to Warman for a slower pace. He especially enjoyed his marigold plot and garden. With work being so important to him, he also took on a job at the local carwash.
With declining health, they moved into an assisted living unit where dad took on any light duties he could.
Thank you to Diane and care staff at Warman Neu-Care for your excellent care of dad & mom the last year and a half. Also, to the St. Paul’s Hospital 7th floor care staff for your loving care of dad.
As a family we would like to express our gratitude and thanks to all who have shared in our loss. We appreciate all your prayers on our behalf. Your many acts of kindness and words of encouragement, God bless you.
